BALL v4

Print&Play Board Game

STRATEGIC
CHALLENGE

BALL is a strategy board game for two players with no elements of chance. Despite the use of cards, they do not appear randomly during the game and do not require the use of dice or other elements that introduce randomness, allowing for a fair, competitive, and challenging gameplay experience that rewards more experienced players. As the game progresses, "coaches" will earn energy points as a reward for performing certain actions. These energy points must be spent to use their cards and thus perform more complex combinations of actions. Therefore, the game logically increases in difficulty as it progresses.

The ultimate goal of the game is to score a touchdown. Each turn consists of executing one or more actions by one or more players. Coaches should try to perform as many combined actions as possible to earn the maximum number of energy points each turn and thus gain an advantage over their opponent. They must use their cards wisely, as once they are spent, they cannot be recovered. Despite being an abstraction of the sport (American football), it aims to maintain the essence of the game. Thanks to the accumulation of energy points and the ability to create elaborate action combos, coaches can perform some of the most exceptional plays in football history.

The actions that can be performed during the game by the players are: Movement, Dodge, Tactical Dodge, Fumble, Forced Fumble, Block, Protection, Hand-Off, Short Pass, Long Pass, Take Ball Possession, Unblock, Unprotect, in addition to the special actions described on the cards.

NEW SET OF CARDS

The new version of BALL includes newly redesigned card sets. The rules have been completely rewritten to place even more emphasis on strategy and give greater importance to the use of cards, allowing for more and better action combinations. This makes BALL a much more dynamic, competitive, and aggressive game.

ENERGY POINTS

In this new version, coaches can combine as many cards as possible in a single turn to perform even more complex combos. To use the cards, each player must accumulate energy points. To obtain these energy points, players must perform certain types of actions. As players accumulate more energy points, the cards gain even more possibilities in the game, making it more complex and difficult for the opponent to predict.

4 GAME MODES

The competitive game mode is "Standard with Cards." However, BALL offers four game modes: standard (for beginners), standard with cards (for advanced players), free, and free with cards.
